Step 1

Start by finding the network connections icon in the bottom right corner of the screen (near the clock).
The icon can be in the shape of computer display or wireless signal meter.
Right click on that icon.

Step 2

Select “Open Network and Sharing Center“.
You can also get there by going through “Start” button > “Control Panel” > “View network status and tasks“.

Step 3

Click “Setup a new connection or network“.

Step 4

In the appeared window select “Connect to a workplace“, click “Next“.

Step 5

Click “Use my Internet connection (VPN)“.

Step 6

If you already have other connections configured, select “No, create a new connection” and click “Next” button.
If you don’t see this dialog window just skip this step.

Step 7

Internet address” is your server address, i.e. your credentials that you get from the Customer Area at the beginning of this tutorial. If you are not sure where to get them, scroll up the page, you can find the instructions there. It is not “str-XXXXXX.reliablehosting.com”, that is just an example.
Destination name” can be any as you like for example StrongVPN.
Check “Don’t connect now; just set it up so I can connect later” and click “Next” button.

Step 8

Fill the “User name” and “Password” fields, your credentials that you obtained before.
For manual setup username is not your email and the password is not your password for Customer Area.
You can find these credentials in the Customer Area, same place where the server address is located.
Check “Remember this password” and click “Create” button.

Step 9

Click “Close” button.

tep 1

Start from home screen.

Step 2

Press “Menu” button on your device, go to “Settings“.

Step 3

Go to “Wireless and network“.

Step 4

Then to “VPN settings“.

Step 5

Tap on “Add VPN” option.

Step 6

Then on “Add PPTP VPN“.

Step 7

Configuration screen should look like this.

Step 8

VPN name” is the name of the connection, it can be any as you like, we recommend to set it to “StrongVPN PPTP“.
Please note: if you already have the connection with the same name it will not let you save the settings.

Fill full Server Address to “Set VPN server” field, i.e your credential that you obtained in the Customer Area at the beginning of this tutorial. If you are not sure where to get it, scroll up the page, you can find the instructions there. The address is not vpn-XXX.reliablehosting.com, it is just an example.

Disable the “Encryption“.

Warning!

PPTP VPN connection uses MPPE (Microsoft Point-to-Point Encryption) which will not work on Android with our service.
Our only suggestion is turning the Encryption completely OFF. In that case your VPN traffic is not protected of course.
If you want the encrypted connection please use L2TP.

Step 9

Press “Menu” button, select “Save“.

Step 10

Now you should see “StrongVPN PPTP” connection on the list. Tap on it.

Step 11

Authorization window will appear. Enter your “Username” (it is not your email with us) and “Password” (both are case sensitive).
These credentials can be found in the Customer Area as well.
Select “Remember username“.

Tap “Connect” button.

Step 12

When the VPN is connected the message should appear at the top bar.
